The following arrest information was supplied by the Chicago, Des Plaines and Park Ridge police departments. It does not indicate a conviction.
Two Des Plaines men arrested after committing a residential burglary while under surveillance of law enforcement were charged with multiple counts of residential burglary, according to the Chicago Police Department.
At least three law enforcement agencies were involved in the arrests of on Feb. 7.
According to a statement from the Des Plaines Police Department, Park Ridge police conducted surveillance on the two men, and Chicago police made the arrests because the reported burglary that police stated they witnessed Poplawski and Dybala commit occurred in Chicago.
Des Plaines police also are involved in the investigation because, police stated, the two men committed more than one burglary. Des Plaines police stated that they cleared four residential burglaries and their investigation into Poplawski and Dybala’s activity was ongoing.
Poplawski was charged with three counts of residential burglary, and Dybala was charged with two counts of residential burglary, on Feb. 7, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Park Ridge Deputy Chief Louis Jogmen stated, in an email to Patch, it was unlikely his department would file additional charges against the men.
“At this point, I don’t think we will have additional charges,” Jogmen stated.
Des Plaines Police Chief William Kushner said on Tuesday that his department’s investigation into Poplawski and Dybala was not yet complete.
“I cannot tell you whether or not charges will be filed at the end of an investigation,” Kushner said.
