Michigan man charged with promoting prostitution at hotel near O'Hare.

The Cook County Sheriff's department has charged a Michigan man with promoting prostitution at a hotel near O'Hare International Airport.

Maurice Thompson, 23, of Highland Park, Mich., was arrested Dec. 4. Thompson was charged after an undercover operation that was prompted by an advertisement on a website. Officers said that Thompson had arranged for a woman, a date and a hotel room.

Promoting prostitution is a felony.
