Man Charged With Battery After Vehicle Repair Dispute

Threatens to sue police before and after arrest.

A man has been charged with battery after he allegedly punched a repair man at a Shell gas station, 1605 S. River Road, according to a police report.

Nedzad Music, 30, of the 200 block of Stearn Drive in Genoa, had dropped his car off at the gas station to get an estimate on having a window that was stuck, repaired. The victim phoned Music and told him that a mechanism in the door would have to be fixed to perform a complete repair but that he was able to get the window rolled up without performing the repair, which would cost $675. Music told the victim not to repair the window but that he would pay him for looking at it.

When Music returned to the gas station to pick up his vehicle he brought his pit bull dog with him. The victim, whose 5-year-old son was also present, showed Music what repairs his door needed at which point Music became irate that his door frame was not back on the vehicle and allegedly punched the victim in the stomach, according to police.
