Latex Gloves Recovered at Park after Burglary to Vehicle Suspect Flees, More in Tuesday Blotter

The Des Plaines Police Department provided the following reports.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

Police responded to a burglary to vehicle report on the 2000 block of S. Pine Street at 11:49 p.m. on Jan. 17. A witness told police, according to the report, he was parking a vehicle in the area when he observed an unknown person in the driver’s side of a vehicle parked on the street. When the witness confronted the unknown man, according to the report, he fled on foot and discarded a flashlight that was removed from the vehicle. Police stated a pair of latex gloves were recovered at Apache Park near the area.

Burglary to Vehicle

An unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence on the 200 block of Cumberland Parkway was burglarized sometime between 10 p.m. on Jan. 15 and 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 16, police stated. Items removed from the vehicle included a black leather wallet with cash and identification cards, a white jacket and medical instruments, according to the report. Property loss was estimated at $405.

Burglary to Vehicle

Police stated a vehicle parked in a residence driveway on the 300 block of Stratford Road was burglarized sometime between 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 17. A witness told police the contents from the glove box and center console were scattered across the driver and passenger seats, and nothing appeared to be missing.

Trespassing at Casino

Battulga Nmi Dorjshuvag, 27, of Chicago, was issued a citation for trespassing at Rivers Casino, 3000 S. River Road, between 8:40 p.m. and 8:42 p.m. on Jan. 16. Dorjshuvag was previously given notice he was prohibited from entering the casino’s property, according to the report.
