Graffiti at South School, Aggravated DUI, More in Monday Blotter

The following arrest information was supplied by the Des Plaines Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Des Plaines Police Department provided the following reports.

Theft

A seven-foot aluminum flagpole and U.S. flag were reported stolen from the front of a residence on the 400 block of Cornell Avenue sometime between 8 p.m. on March 9 and 9 a.m. on March 10, police stated. Property loss was estimated at $50.

Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, No Driver’s License – Never Issued

Oscar Duran-Arango, 24, of Niles, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and no driver’s license – never issued after police stopped for a traffic violation on the 700 block of S. Potter Road between 1:23 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. on March 10. Duran-Arango was given a court date of March 18 at Skokie courthouse.

Criminal Damage to Property

The dumpster enclosure at South School, 1535 Everett Ave., was vandalized with black, spray-painted graffiti sometime between 4 p.m. on March 11 and 7:30 a.m. on March 12, police stated.
