Retail Theft
On Sept. 8 at 3:18 a.m., James Wayne Bolkovatz, 39, was charged with retail theft and criminal trespassing. Police noticed Bolkovatz pacing up and down the aisles at a 7-Eleven store at 1143 S. Lee St. before he fled. Bolkovatz made his way to the nearby Best Western Hotel, 1231 S. Lee St., where police caught up with him. He had been arrested for trespassing at the hotel and has no known permanent residence. Bolkovatz was found to have $2.48 worth of merchandise, including a Twix candy bar, and admitted that he took the items.

On Sept. 8 at 5:45 p.m., Victoria A. Bonolo, 51, of the 800 block of Oakton Street in Des Plaines, was charged with unlawful sale of alcoholic liquor to a minor at Barnaby's Restaurant, 636 E. Touhy Ave. She will appear at the Skokie Courthouse on Sept. 24.

On Sept. 8 at 7:45 p.m., Dimas Enoc Aleman, 33, of the 200 block of George Street in Bensenville, was charged with unlawful sale of alcoholic liquor to a minor at Olivetti's Restaurant, 1575 E. Ellinwood St. He will appear at the Skokie Courthouse on Sept. 24.
Obscene Conduct
On Sept. 9 at 1:09 a.m., Jose Luis Toto-Velasco, 38, of the 1400 block of Perry Street in Des Plaines, was charged with obscene conduct after an officer observed him urinating in the entryway of 1486 E. Miner St. He will appear at the Skokie Courthouse on Oct. 12.
