Friday Blotter: Elmhurst Man Charged with Trespassing and More

Criminal Trespass to Property

Ira J. Eleazer, 64, of Evanston, was issued a citation for criminal trespass to property at Rivers Casino, 3000 S. River Road, after casino security discovered him on the premise at 10:25 p.m. on April 21. Eleazer was warned not to come to the casino on Jan. 14 and Feb. 12. After being given the citation, Eleazer was released.

Criminal Trespass to Real Property

Sean M. Christian, 25, of Elmhurst, was charged with criminal trespass after police found him a sleep behind the wheel of his parked vehicle in Rivers Casino’s parking garage between 3:52 to 4:20 a.m. on April 22.

Christian was given a court date of May 8 at Skokie courthouse.

Trespassing

Chi Q. Krueger, 46, of Fox River Grove, was issued a citation on April 22 for trespassing at Rivers Casino after she was found to be on the self-exclusion list. Krueger was attempting to get paid on a jackpot when the discovery was made.

The Illinois Gaming Board began the Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program for Problem Gamblers in 2002, according to the Illinois Gaming Board’s website. It allows people who are problem gamblers to self-exclude themselves from Illinois casinos for a minimum of five years.

Gene O’Shea, Director of Self-Exclusion for the Illinois Gaming Board, individuals can petition to be removed from the list after five years, but no one has ever succeeded in this.

Criminal Trespass to Property

Vipulkumar S. Patel, 33, of Bartlett, was issued a citation for criminal trespass to property after he was discovered in Rivers Casino from 12:15 to 12:20 a.m. on April 23. Patel is on the self-exclusion list, and told police he put himself on the list about seven years ago, but didn’t realize he still could not enter casino.
