Friday Blotter: At Casino Parking Garage Men Allegedly Stole Electronics, Cash, More

Criminal Trespass to Vehicle, Theft

Jesus Omar Mendez Cabasquin, 27, of Chicago, and Abdul Wachaa, 24, of Chicago, were charged with criminal trespass to vehicle and theft after police stated they were observed by casino security cameras and a witness removing items from three vehicles parked in the parking garage at Rivers Casino, 3000 S. River Road, between 10 p.m. and 10:17 p.m. on April 6. The items included a GPS device, laptop computer and cash. The items were returned to the owners, and both men were given a court date of May 14 at Skokie courthouse.

Police responded to a trespassing report at Rivers Casino, 3000 S. River Road, at 4:45 a.m. on April 8. According to the report, Danny D. Le, of Chicago, a member of the self-exclusion list, entered the casino. Le was issued a citation for trespassing and escorted off the property without incident.

The Illinois Gaming Board began the Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program for Problem Gamblers in 2002, according to the Illinois Gaming Board’s website. It allows people who are problem gamblers to self-exclude themselves from Illinois casinos for a minimum of five years.

Trespass

Police were dispatched for a trespassing report at Rivers Casino at 3:11 a.m. on April 8. According to the report, Baterdene Nmi Dorjshuvag, 26, of Chicago, a member of the self-exclusion list, entered the casino. Dorjshuvag was issued a citation for trespassing and escorted off the property without incident.

Minor Consumption of Alcohol, Minors Prohibited from Entering Casino

Police stated Edward N. Coyle, 20, of Hinsdale, and Maxwell L. Vandermark, 20, of Indianapolis, entered Rivers Casino with fake identification and were issued citations for minors prohibited from entering casino and minor consumption of alcohol.
