Des Plaines Ranks 52nd in State for DUI Arrests

Des Plaines police made 127 DUI arrests in 2012, according to the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists.

Des Plaines ranks 52nd in the state for DUI arrests in 2012. 

According to the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists (AAIM), Des Plaines police arrested 127 people for driving under the influence last year. That adds up to 1.37 DUI arrests per officer.

Rockford topped the list with 686 DUI arrests last year. There were several Illinois municipalities that didn’t arrest any drunk drivers in 2012 including Pearl City, Union, St. Anne and Astoria.
