Des Plaines Police: Sketches of Men Who Dressed as Cops and Robbed a Man

The Des Plaines Police Department have released sketches of two men who they say dressed as police officers and robbed and beat a man.

Des Plaines Police have released sketches of two men who handcuffed, beat and robbed a man Aug. 8.

The two men were dressed as police officers and said they had a warrant. Once inside the home the men handcuffed the 35-year-old resident and began searching the home. Police said that money and other valuables were taken.

During the incident the 35-year-old resident attempted to flee. The two men were able to catch him and proceeded to beat him and also tasered him in the fact. The two intruders also had handguns.

The resident was treated atL Lutheran General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Des Plaines police said that the man appears to have been specifically targeted in the incident and does not appear to have been a random act.
