Des Plaines Police Find Possible Meth, Ecstasy Lab

The following arrest information was supplied by the Des Plaines Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A naked man covered in what appeared to be blood led police to find a suspected meth and ecstasy lab near Campbell Avenue and Center Street, stated.

Police were called to the intersection at 10:43 p.m. April 23 to investigate a report of a naked man in the area. Police stated the man appeared to need medical attention and seemed to be under the influence of drugs. The man told police he was forced to fight with someone and there was someone murdered in his house.

Police forced entry into the residence in the 1400 block of East Campbell Avenue. Once inside, police discovered a large amount of drug paraphernalia and a white, powdery substance, suspected to be cocaine, on a table.

Officers then searched the basement and found what appeared to be a possible meth and ecstasy lab, the report stated.

Des Plaines police secured the location because of the potential safety hazard and contacted the Illinois State Police Meth Response Team. Charges are pending.

Is there more crime in the Des Plaines area since the Casino opening? Just curious, it appears as though there is.

God, I miss Des Plaines.

No, this is pretty typical for Des Plaines.

Lorraine, you are ridiculous! This is not at all 'typical' of Des Plaines.

What about that floating pot party that's been going on since the 1970s?
matt newman April 25, 2012 at 08:57 PM
Hey Lorraine, this is Matt. Saw this story and your comments. Des Plaines is, as yuo suggest, a one-of-a-kind suburb--the only suburb where violent swans have become a menance to society - http://www.thedesplainescasino.com/blog/swan-gang-wars-linked-to-suburban-chicago-mini-golf-invasion.

I live just down the block from this "meth-house". There was no one killed. The guy was "tweaking" and was completely alone. He initially told police he was in the shower and was frightened by a spider in his shower so he ran out of the house in a panic.
MARIGOLD April 26, 2012 at 03:44 PM
Whats Tweaking? And frightened by a spider, so he ran out the house naked, more like frightened by his meth crack and illuminating....Well Actually I don't even know what meth is or make you do....SAY NO TO DRUGS....LOL...

Matt, I live in the complex where the Swan Incident happen, I am still all shook up. and sadden for that man and the people that loved him..First of all its nothing to speak about casually or funny, Know your facts why that horrific incident happen to that unfortunate young man. He left behind people that loved him....FYI Animals are only violent if they are threatened or if they are trained my man to be that way. Besides, the Bible in Eccelesiastes 9-11 tells us that Time and Unforseen Circumstances Befalls All Of Us, So lets be careful what we say casually about someting bad that happens to someone else..Marigold
