A naked man covered in what appeared to be blood led police to find a suspected meth and ecstasy lab near Campbell Avenue and Center Street, stated.
Police were called to the intersection at 10:43 p.m. April 23 to investigate a report of a naked man in the area. Police stated the man appeared to need medical attention and seemed to be under the influence of drugs. The man told police he was forced to fight with someone and there was someone murdered in his house.
Police forced entry into the residence in the 1400 block of East Campbell Avenue. Once inside, police discovered a large amount of drug paraphernalia and a white, powdery substance, suspected to be cocaine, on a table.
Officers then searched the basement and found what appeared to be a possible meth and ecstasy lab, the report stated.
Des Plaines police secured the location because of the potential safety hazard and contacted the Illinois State Police Meth Response Team. Charges are pending.
