Man Injured In Battery

On June 6, a man in the 300 block of King Lane told police his brother had shown up on the man’s front sidewalk, injured with a dislocated shoulder and a contusion to the back of the head, according to the report.  The injured man said he was at Stadium bar, according to the report, and got into a fight over a pack of cigarettes belonging to someone. They went outside and he was hit from behind. He blacked out, and did not know how he got home. 

Two Laptops, $700 Stolen

A school in the 1100 block of North River Road reported June 8 that someone had forced open a door and broken into a locked cabinet and stolen $700 in cash and coins, and two laptop computers, according to the report. Police also found that a glass window to the office was shattered.

A woman in the 500 block of Crestwood Drive reported June 10 someone had broken into her Toyota Corolla. Missing were an Apple iPhone 5, valued at $750, and designer sunglasses valued at $450, according to the report.  Police entered the stolen phone into a database.

Goose Statue Stolen

Police responded June 10 to a mobile home park in the 2900 block of Curtis Street,  where a resident reported someone had taken a cement goose statue worth $50.

Duck Statue Stolen

Police responded June 10 to a mobile home park in the 2900 block of Curtis Street. A resident said she had placed her cement duck statue, worth $50, near her flower bed but discovered it missing on June 3, according to the report. She did not make a report at that time, but since another resident had had a goose statue stolen, she decided to make a police report.
