Thief Steals Copper From Warehouse 

A warehouse manager at a warehouse in the 300 block of North Third Avenue reported that someone had broken a lock and chain from a fence on his property, then removed a glass pane window to enter a building and remove an unknown amount of copper from inside, according to the police report.

The initial loss was estimated at $300, but the manager is checking inventory to get a more accurate measure of what went missing.

Cell Phone Taken While Mom Attends To Kids At Pool

A woman reported that she had taken her children to Mystic Waters aquatic center and put her cell phone in her backpack, which was placed under her deck chair.

She went to play with her kids in the pool, and when she got back, the backpack was missing, according to the police report. When she reported it to park personnel, they had already found the backpack in the men’s restroom, but the cell phone was missing.

Someone Steals $297, Leaves $3 

A man who lives in the 300 block of South Lyman Avenue went home from work at about 7:15 p.m. and put $300 cash, in singles, in a dresser drawer in his bedroom. His foster father was at home with a guest.

He left the house, returned about 9:20 p.m. and found $297 missing from the dresser, according to the police report.
