Prosecutors stated in another incident at approximately 5 p.m. on July 7, 2011, Jewitt approached the same 12-year-old boy in his car in front of the same country club where the boy was waiting for his mother to pick him up. Again, Jewitt tried to lure the boy into his car. The boy refused and ran into the country club, and authorities were contacted.

Jewitt was arrested by Elmwood Park police on July 11, 2011, and identified in a lineup as the person that tried to abduct the boy.

Jewitt was on probation for two convictions in 2009 and a registered sex offender at the time he attempted to abduct the boy in 2011. Jewitt approached two young girls and tried to lure them into his car on two occasions in October and November 2008. He pled guilty to child abduction and child exploitation, and was sentenced to six months in Cook County jail and 30 months probation for each charge.

In another incident, Jewitt was convicted of disorderly conduct in 2003 after he attempted to lure a five-year-old girl into a storage locker at a day camp where he was employed.

In 2004 Jewitt was convicted of public indecency after performing a lewd sex act in front of a 10-year-old girl riding her scooter down the street.
