Cussing at Bar Manager and More in Monday Blotter

The Des Plaines Police Department provided the following reports.
Disobeyed Red Light Left Turn, Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for disobeying a red light in the parking garage at Rivers Casino, 3000 S. River Road, at 11:15 p.m. on Feb. 1. Police observed the driver, later identified as Jason P. Changrachang, 23, of Bensenville, had a multicolored pipe in between his legs, according to the report.

Police opened the driver’s door of the vehicle and smelled cannabis, according to the report.
When police asked Changrachang if there was anything illegal in his vehicle, he said, according to the report, “Yes, I have a little bit of weed and a pipe.”

Police asked one of the two passengers in the vehicle, later identified as Deanna Vazquez, 23, of Wood Dale, if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, and she said, according to the report, there was a grinder and a pipe in her purse on the floor.
Police stated they found a multi-colored pipe, a black diamond grinder, a small scale and a silver can containing a green leafy substance, which tested positive for the probable presence of cannabis, inside the vehicle, and another pipe and grinder inside Vazquez’s purse.
Changrachang was charged with disobeyed red light, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Vazquez was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Changrachang and Vazquez were issued a court date of March 19 at Skokie courthouse.
Criminal Trespassing
Michael A. Soristo, 50, of Hoffman Estates, was charged with criminal trespassing after refusing to leave Stadium Bar and Grill, 769 Holiday Lane, at 5:57 p.m. on Feb. 2. A witness told police, according to the report, Soristo was highly intoxicated, and cussed at the manager. Soristo was given a court date of March 1 at Skokie courthouse.
Criminal Trespass to State Supported Land
Jose F. Benavides, 33, of Des Plaines, was charged with criminal trespass to state supported land after police found Benavides highly intoxicated, stumbling around the Metra train depot, 1501 E. Miner St., between 2:44 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Feb. 2, police stated. Benavides was given a court date of March 20 at Skokie courthouse.
