4-Year-Old Killed While Riding Bike Near Des Plaines

A 4-year-old Chicago boy is dead after being hit by a semi-trailer truck while riding his bicycle near Des Plaines, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Jayden Jacobo was riding down a driveway toward East Oakton Street on Monday when he was hit by the rear axle of the truck, according to the newspaper.  The boy’s mother was pushing a stroller near the boy when the accident happened. Jacobo was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the truck was not ticketed, the Tribune reports.
