A four-year-old boy was saved from drowning at a residence in the 1700 block of Forest Ave. at about 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, police stated on Monday. According to the report, the boy was swimming in the backyard pool with family members at a family gathering when he was discovered unresponsive in the pool.
Family members pulled the child from the pool and immediately administered CPR. The Des Plaines police and responded to the scene, and the boy was transported to Lutheran General Hospital, and was in stable condition.
