Maine South High School Graduate Dies From Organ Failure

Maine South High School graduate Delaney C. Bean, 17, died July 10 from organ failure, the Park Ridge Herald Advocate reported.

Services for Bean have been scheduled at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, 120 S. Northwest Highway, Monday, July 15 form 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, 9:15 a.m. from the Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, to Our Lady of Ransom Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery. The full obituary can be read here.

Bean's artwork had been chosen recently as Maine South's 50th anniversary logo. It features the Maine South logo with the words “Maine South High School, Celebrating 50 Years” surrounding it.

Bean's Facebook page states that she was planning to attend DePaul University.

"Today I lost one of my best friends and one of the greatest people I've had the pleasure of meeting," wrote Amanda Catania on her Facebook page. "Delaney, you've impacted my life in so many ways, from being the very first friend I made in high school to us becoming so close."
