Former Des Plaines Mayor Edward “Ted” Sherwood passed away on Monday at the age of 91, the Daily Herald reports.
Sherwood served as mayor of the city from 1993 to 1997. He was active in several groups and organizations in the city including White Collar Services, St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church and the Des Plaines Economic Development Commission. Visitation for Sherwood will take place Monday, March 18 from 3 to 9 p..m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, March 19 at 10:30 a.m, the newspaper reports.
