Oakton Community College Hosts Parent Orientation Night July 22
Parents of incoming students at Oakton Community College, 1600 East Golf Road, Des Plaines, can get the inside scoop about the College by attending a free orientation session Monday, July 22, 6 – 8 p.m., in Room 1608-1610.
A faculty and student panel will answer questions about academic and student life at Oakton, including how to best assist your child during the shift to college. Also, learn about financial assistance and scholarships, academic support services, student services, and the transfer process.
Oakton offers associate’s degrees and certificate programs for students planning to move on to four-year colleges or universities, as well as those preparing for employment in a variety of careers. Accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the College is recognized by the Illinois Community College Board and is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges
