Rockin' the Countryside

Countryside Association for People with Disabilities will host a two-band concert fundraiser at the Cubby Bear North in Lincolnshire on Friday, September 23rd. The first ever Rockin’ the Countryside event is open to the public and will feature music performances by The Mosquitos Jam Band and Ron Cohler from Blood on the Tracks.

The door charge of $8 will start at 8 PM with the music scheduled to start around 10:30 PM. All proceeds from this 21-and-over affair will support the program participants of Countryside Association for People with Disabilities, a
58-year-old agency that supports children and adults with developmental disabilities who reside in northern Cook and Lake County. Countryside will have a 50/50 raffle as well as a handful of amazing raffle prizes, including services from ZaZa Salon and Day Spa, a complete auto detailing from Star Auto Authority, and a raffle basket featuring Chicago Bears items. Along with entry into the venue, every cover charge comes with a complimentary raffle ticket for a chance to win one of two gift cards to the Cubby Bear North. Event sponsors include Rust-Oleum® and Schwake Stone, Brick, & Fireplace Co.

The Mosquitos feature a unique blend of classic rock and contemporary songs, with a flavor of percussive “jam” band style extended cuts. They cover classics by artists like Santana, The Grateful Dead, and Eric Clapton. Blood on the Tracks, taking their name from one of his most respected and influential albums, is the premier Bob Dylan tribute band playing in Chicagoland. Other music played includes bands like The Allman Brothers, The Wallflowers, David Bowie, and The Rolling Stones.
