Friends of the Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Des Plaines Public Library used book sale will be held on Fri., Sept. 30, 6-9 p.m. (members-only night); Sat., Oct. 1, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Sun., Oct. 2, 1-5 p.m. The sale includes a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction books for adults and children, plus videotapes, audiobooks, LPs, DVDs and CDs. Also participating will be the Des Plaines History Center with a selection of items for sale from its “Yesterdays” gift shop.     

All proceeds from the sale are used to support programs and activities at the library for children, adults and families.

Individual membership in the Friends is $5 a year, family membership $10. Application forms will be available at the sale or may be obtained at the library.
