Des Plaines Arts Council Scholarship Winners Announced

Information submitted by the city of Des Plaines.

The Des Plaines Arts Council, which supports and promotes fine arts in the community,  presented its annual student scholarships in the company of Des Plaines City Officials and the public at the June 17, 2013 City Council Meeting at Des Plaines City Hall, 1420 Miner Street, a press release from the city states.

Scholarships are intended for youth desiring to advance in the study of fine or performing arts. Applications are received from the local community for scholarships that may be used for private lessons, instrument upkeep, arts related summer camps, or first year college tuition for students majoring in the arts.
