Leading Cardiologists to Give Heart Disease Prevention Tips at Benefit Dinner

The Chicago-North Shore chapter is hosting Heart to Heart: Every Beat Counts, a benefit dinner at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6. The evening will feature Annabelle Volgman, MD, FACC, medical director of the Rush University Medical Center Heart Center for Women as well as Professor Chaim Lotan, MD, FACC, director of The Heart Institute at Hadassah Hospital and Head of the Israeli Cardiology Association in Jerusalem. Tammie Souza, award-winning meteorologist from Channel 32 Fox News here in Chicago is our Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening.

The campaign strongly encourages women to begin to watch for signs that something may be wrong as many women may not realize the symptoms of a heart attack are different for them versus their male counterparts. The goals of Hadassah’s Heart to Heart initiative include:

  •  Increasing awareness of heart disease risks and prevention;
  • Sharing the latest heart health information and assessment tools; and
  • Informing the public about exciting, cutting-edge research happening every day at Hadassah Medical Organization’s Heart Institute in Jerusalem.
