IL Secretary of State Mobile Unit
Schaumburg Township Senior Services and
the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office have partnered to bring the Super
Seniors Program and the mobile unit services to Schaumburg Township, 1 Illinois
Blvd., in Hoffman Estates, on Wednesday, October 30, from 10am-2pm.
The Super Seniors Program includes the Rules
of the Road review course from 9:30am until 11:30am and a vision screening
exam. The review course is designed to give seniors and people with
disabilities the knowledge they need to renew or obtain a driver’s license by
combining an explanation of the driving exam with a practice written
exam. Seating is limited; please call the senior services department at
847-884-0030 to register for the review course.
The Secretary of State mobile unit will
be available to renew, replace or correct a driver’s license, buy vehicle
stickers, and provide information on organ and tissue donation. If you
are age 65 or over, you may obtain a free, non-expiring state ID card. To renew
a current Illinois driver’s license or ID card, a valid driver’s license or ID
card must be presented. To apply for a duplicate or corrected driver’s license
or ID card, two forms of identification must be presented. For
information about acceptable forms of identification and to check the basic
driver’s license and state ID card fees, please call 217-782-7044 or visit www.cyberdriveillinois.com
