Grandparent's Day Celebration - "What My Grandchildren Should Know"

Oakton Place, in cooperation with VFW Post 2992, The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare and the Center of Concern are hosting an Intergenerational "Show and Tell" for military artifacts (no weaponry, please) as a way of transmitting to the generations the values of service, country, and integrity.  At 2:00 pm Johnny Grey, a great singer of Americana, will perform and apple pie will be served.  There will be information regarding senior services available in our area, as well as a representative from the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, to answer questions.  Please call (847) 299-5588 to let us know you're coming.
