Film Screening & Family Discussion : Bully

Families are invited to a community screening of the documentary film Bully.

Bullying is a serious problem that affects kids nationwide.

Twenty-eight percent of students ages 12-18 were bullied at school during the 2008/2009 school year.

Reports show that bullying is on the rise.

Melissa Ockerman, Ph.D. will introduce the film and will lead the discussion following the screening. Ockerman is an Associate Professor in the Counseling Program at DePaul Uiversity and has done extensive research on bullying and cyberbulling in our schools.

She was a presenter at the Midwest Anti-Bullying Conference.
