This “hands on” class will show you how to use Adobe PhotoshopElements 9, 10 or 11 software to edit and improve your digitalphotographs. Classes are for beginning and intermediatephotographers who have Photoshop Elements 9, 10 or 11 installedon their laptop computers. You will learn how to improve your imagesby adjusting the color, contrast and sharpness and how to correctproblems like over exposure and under exposure.

Topics will include understanding Photoshop Elements’ tools, filters,layers, layer masks, resolution, file size, cropping, resizing and more.You will need a laptop computer with Elements installed.


You must have basic computer skills, with either MAC or PC laptop computers. This is not a class on how to use you’re your computer. Students will need basic computer skills to take this class (navigating  on your computer, be able to open applications, be able to create folders as well as save files and transfer files to a folder and how to use e-mail). Please arrive one half hour early to set up your computer. You need to also bring your AC connection, a short extension cord and a mouse that is external. The pad on a laptop is difficult to use for photography.


Teachers: Jerry Hug and volunteers from the Des Plaines CameraClub.


Cost: $50 for Des Plaines Residents and $62 for non-residents.


Registration begins December 17.
