Alderman Mark Walsten Hosts Property Tax Appeal Seminar for Residents

Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak is announcing the last property tax appeal seminar that will be offered to taxpayers seeking to appeal their 2012 property tax assessments in Maine Township.

The seminar is co-sponsored by Des Plaines Alderman Mark Walsten. The hour long session will educate taxpayers on how to file a successful tax appeal in a time when the economy is putting added pressures to home and business owners.

Before the end of the evening, taxpayers will have an opportunity to work with staff from the Board of Review to address their specific questions and concerns.

This event is free to the public and there is no fee to appeal at the Board of Review. Taxpayers are asked to bring a copy of their most recent tax bill.

The seminar will be held:
Wednesday, October 10, 2012
Des Plaines Village Hall
1420 Miner Street
Des Plaines, IL 60016
7:00 p.m.

Maine Township is open for appeal until Tuesday, October 16, 2012.
