The Des Plaines History Center presents Afternoon Adventures, featuring fun and educational activities for children, ages 5-12, with an adult.

NOTE for AUGUST 13: Meet at Garden Plot 132 at High Ridge Knolls Park in Des Plaines.

Harvest festival!

August 13: The afternoon will focus on harvesting the produce the children planted during the first session. Participants will meet at Garden Plot 132, which is located at High Ridge Knolls Park, 601 S. Westgate Road, in Des Plaines. The children will learn about harvest festivals, parades, and other celebrations that have been a part of the history of Des Plaines. After picking the produce from the garden plot, the group will make ice cream!
$4 per child, or $2 discount with membership
