Winter Storm Warning Issued for Cook County

The warning expires on Monday morning.

According to Chicago Weather Center, a "winter storm warning" has hit Cook County since early morning on Sunday.

The report said that "the snow will increase in coverage and intensity through the morning and into the afternoon."

Several inches of snow are expected, and hazards include blustery winds, low visibility, falling branches and powerlines. Frostbite-level temperatures are predicted to continue through Tuesday.
