MYCAF Thanks Local Businesse For Sticker Shock Participation
Teens posted more than 5,000 stickers throughout the community to promote underage drinking awareness.
Dear Editor:
Thank you to local businesses in Des Plaines, Park Ridge and Niles that partnered with MCYAF in Project Sticker Shock.
On April 13, nineteen Sticker Shock teams of 80 youth volunteers with adult chaperones were out in force and delivered over 5,000 stickers, posters and decals to 47 local businesses that sell alcoholic beverages in Maine Township. The stickers and signs warn purchasers that it is illegal to provide alcohol to anyone under the age of 21.
