Electronic Billboards May Come to Des Plaines Oasis

Advertisers say billboards will drive traffic into oasis, not a safety hazard.

Electronic billboards may be coming to the interstates and Illinois Tollway, according to an article at Chicagotribune.com.

Editor's note: Readers may have been misled earlier by phrasing that gave the impression that while permits have been approved, the proposal has not been approved yet. We apologize for any confusion. The text below was added after initial publication. "The Illinois Tollway still needs to approve the proposal. No date has been set for approval yet."
