It is back to school week! While the kids settle into a new routine, it is time for parents to take some time out for themselves...

1. Are you looking for a great full body workout? Someplace, with top of the line equipment, to help relieve the stress of your busy schedule? Try the at Prairie Lakes. For only $5 a day you can ride, row, and run away to a healthier you. Only $5 a day. Memberships also available.

2. Ready for a night off and a night out for the kids? Saturday, August 25 is Late Night in the Park at Mountain View Adventure Center for kids in grades 5-12. Drop the kids off from 7-11pm and relax. They will enjoy an evening of fun with friends, time in the batting cages, unlimited mini-golf, and a chance to talk about their first week back.

3. The dog days of summer are now the best time to take your furry friend for a walk in the park. You can now walk dogs on leashes in all Des Plaines Park District parks. Take in cool night breezes and beautiful sunsets. However, if your hound dog is cryin’ all the time, we have high-classed Dog Obedience classes that will help him sit, stay, and roll over like a pro.

The Des Plaines Park District Fall Spectrum is available in all our facilities and a complete book is available online at www.DPParks.org. Check out new classes, programs, and events.

See you around the parks!
