The Monday Parks PlayBook: Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Counting the days to Winter? We have ski trips, Leisure Lizards' days, and Kruisin' Kids' trips for all kids in grades 2-12!

For you ski bums and powder hounds looking fresh pow, hitch a ride with us to Tyrol Basin in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. We will leave the Leisure Center at 10:00am and return at 8:00pm on December 29. Tyrol Basin has beginner green runs through a double black diamond, expert run for skiers, and three terrain parks including, a gentle park with smaller features for beginning boarders. Free beginner lessons are included with the trip, and equipment is available to rent.

December 26-28 our Leisure Lizards can spend their days with friends enjoying sports and games, arts and crafts, tournaments, time in the game room, and hanging out with friends at the Leisure Center. Our Kruisin’ Kids will travel to Nickel City and the Pickwick Theatre; Rinkside Sports; and Chuck E. Cheese and X-Treme Trampolines. Three great days of safe, supervised fun.

Registration is in progress for Winter programs, sports, and special events. Information is available online, and Winter Spectrum are available in all facilities. Seek! Find! Enjoy!

I believe the aldermen are Denise Rodd south of Dempster and Dick Sayad north. Contact them.Read More Although I do not live in Rodd's ward (Im in the 8th) I am somehow on her mailing list and she keeps wanting to know what she can do for me. Here is something.

I suggest contacting the alderman to raise the profile of what these streets need.
