Community Concert Band Spring Concert: The Sound of Music

The Des Plaines Park District Community Concert Band will present The Sound of Music, on Sunday, April 7, at 3:00pm in the Prairie Lakes Theater, 515 East Thacker St.

The Des Plaines Park District Community Concert Band, conducted by Lawrence J. Carle, will present The Sound of Music, on Sunday, April 7, at 3:00pm in the Prairie Lakes Theater, 515 East Thacker Street, Des Plaines. The program includes the Nabucco Overture by Guiseppe Verdi, The Pathfinder of Panama by John Philip Sousa, the Highwood Overture by John Tatgenhorst, Salute to the Cinema arranged by Carl Strommen, The Good Old USA arranged by James Christensen, Fire of Eternal Glory by Dimitri Shostakovish, the Symphonic Suite for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King by Howard Shore, and selections from The Sound of Music by Richard Rodgers, arranged by Robert Russell Bennett.
