I'm Beholden to the 3rd Ward

My opponent stated that she would do a better job representing Des Plaines because she is not "beholding [sic] to anyone or their political agenda." If she's suggesting that I'm beholden to someone, then she is right:

-I'm beholden to the family on Woodlawn who can't afford the water rate hike.

-I'm beholden to the single mom on Sixth who is worried about her teenager's safety at school.

-I'm beholden to the senior citizen on Alfini whose high tax bill may force her to sell her home.

-I'm beholden to the first-time homebuyer on Rose who would like to shop and dine in downtown Des Plaines, but is finding limited choices.

-I'm beholden to the couple on Prairie who dreads the next significant rain storm that may flood their townhome again.

-I'm beholden to my children who want to grow up in a city that they are proud of.

I agree on issues with other leaders in this City, but isn't that what the City Council is for - to represent the people of their Wards and to work out solutions to our City's problems together and to not hold personal agendas that stifle our City's growth?

I don't have a political agenda of my own or anyone else's; I have a thoughtful agenda that takes into consideration the hopes and concerns of the people of the 3rd Ward while adressing the big picture of the City of Des Plaines.
