“This project would not have been possible without the cooperation and innovation of our consulting partners,” Zakosek said. “On behalf of the County, I am truly grateful for the partnership and support from our partners on the Big Timber Road over Tyler and Pingree Creeks project.”

The Big Timber Road project included the widening of a two-lane road to a four-lane road as well as the relocation of Tyler and Pingree Creek.  As a result of the construction of a new 96’ foot long bridge, the existing bridges over Tyler and Pingree Creek were removed. The bridge was designed to accommodate future traffic lanes and a 14 foot wide bike path.

The project also included environmental enhancements promoting native plants and wildlife that also greatly enhanced the aesthetics of the area. It was completed over two construction seasons with the new creek channel completed in 2011 and the bridge opening in summer 2012.
