Area Young Entrepreneurs Academy students will be displaying their newly formed businesses at a business expo inside Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg on Saturday, May 17th from 11am – 4pm.

Middle School and High School students in YEA! programs in Arlington Heights, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Palatine and Lake Zurich will be participating in the expo. Twenty seven start-up businesses will be displaying their products and services to share with mall customers who stop by the expo. The expo will be located at the lower level of Macy’s.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is a groundbreaking educational program that takes students through the process of starting and running a REAL business! Students work closely with local business leaders to cultivate and research business ideas, write a business plan, pitch their plan to a panel of investors (think Shark Tank meets The Apprentice meets American Idol!), obtain funding, develop their brand, participate in a Trade Show at the end of the year, and actually launch their enterprise!
