An area-wide job fair Friday at the Des Plaines Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will feature major employers such as DeVry University, Federal Express, Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Presence Health (formerly Resurrection), Pace Bus, Nation Pizza, NorthShore University Health System, the Transportation Security Administration and others.
Job fair organizers suggest that you view the employer list, visit the websites of individual employers to see the jobs available, customize your resume for those positions, submit your resume online at those employers' websites and then visit the job fair.
Where: Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood Ave., Des Plaines IL 60016
When: Friday, Aug. 2, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Parking: Free parking
Transportation: The library is just across the street from the Des Plaines Metra station and a Pace bus terminal in downtown Des Plaines.
Cost: Free.
Other things to know: Dress professionally and bring copies of your resume.
