Photos: Des Plaines Camera Club Winners in October, November

Awards for print of the month and digital image of the month were given at the club’s first meeting on Sept. 24.

The following information was submitted by Jane Ballengee of the Des Plaines Camera Club.

The Des Plaines Camera Club hosted its first meeting of the season, and the first competition of the fall was Sept. 24.

  • Print of the Month, October, was awarded to John Kowalyk for Feather Design.
  • DPI (Digital Image) of the Month, October, was awarded to Marie Rakoczy, Matheissen Falls.
  • Print of the Month, November, was awarded to Nora Liu for Geometric Chicago.
  • DPI (Digital Image) of the Month November, was awarded to Marie Rakoczy, for Schaeffer Lake Overlook.

In addition, Awards went to Nora Liu for Japanese Anime Girl; Jane Ballengee for Respite, Tom Vincent for Fallen Berry, Marie Rakoczy for The Road.

Honorable Mentions were given to Irene Szilagyi for Blooming Lilies and Tom Vincent for Sunflower Lunch.

Whatever level of interest in photography you have, all are cordially invited to attend a meeting. The Des Plaines Camera Club meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month September through May.

The Des Plaines Camera Club offers members the opportunity to enter images into competition in both print and electronic formats. Between September and May, image of the month awards, other awards and honorable mentions are presented for both formats.
