‘Milwaukee Skyline,’ ‘Mirror Image’ Among Winning Des Plaines Camera Club Images

The Des Plaines Camera Club announced the winning images in its second fall competition on Sunday.

Winners of the Des Plaines Camera Club’s recent fall competition were announced in a press release on Sunday. The club meets twice per month, September to May, and members participated in the second fall competition at their meeting on Nov. 26.

Des Plaines Camera Club members enter images in both print and electronic formats. Works recognized in the competition included the following images.

  • “Baboon” by Tom Mulick, Print of the Month, December
  • “Bare Footin” by Jeff Bonta, Digital Image of the Month, December
  • “Milwaukee Skyline” by Jerry Hug, Print of the Month, January
  • “Mirror Image” by Jane Ballengee, Digital Image of the Month, January

Awards and Honorable Mentions were given for the following images:

  • “Point Betsie Light” by Marie Rakozy
  • “Down the up Staircase” by Ken Kendzy
  • “Snow Leopard” by Ken Kendzy
  • “Curved Flight” by Sue Lindell
  • “The King” by David Waycie
  • “Prince Charming” by Sue Lindell

The Des Plaines Camera Club meets at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Monday each month from September to May at the Des Plaines Park District

I believe the aldermen are Denise Rodd south of Dempster and Dick Sayad north. Contact them.Read More Although I do not live in Rodd's ward (Im in the 8th) I am somehow on her mailing list and she keeps wanting to know what she can do for me. Here is something.

I suggest contacting the alderman to raise the profile of what these streets need.
