Why Go: This romantic comedy by William Inge tells the tale of lovelorn saloon singer Cherie and the cowboy set out to win her heart. It was also made into a 1956 film starring Marilyn Monroe.

Chicago Wolves' 13th Annual Baby Derby

Where/When: Allstate Arena Sunday March 27 at 3 p.m. Derby takes place during intermission of Chicago Wolves vs. Rockford IceHogs game.

Why Go: Five babies, ages 10 to 12 months, who were selected in a random drawing, will crawl from start to finish on a five-lane mat at center ice. The first baby to cross the finish line will win his or her family a three-night luxury home getaway.

Why Go: Gale Gand visits the culinary center to show off her recent recipes from her latest cookbook. Gand is a nationally acclaimed pastry chef, cookbook author, television personality and the executive pastry chef and partner of the renowned four-star restaurant Tru. Admission cost for the event will be donated to the Whole Planet Foundation. Registration is required.

Why Go: Notre Dame students, matched by weight, age, and previous experience will engage in a three-round boxing exhibition. Each round lasts one minute and 45 Notre Dame students have been training since January. The Friday evening card will feature 11 bouts.
