Friday Movies: ‘ParaNorman,’ ‘Bernie,’ More

Lots of great options for taking in a movie are nearby.

This weekend The Expendables 2, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, ParaNorman and Sparkle will open at local box offices.

More recently-released blockbusters currently in theaters include The Bourne Legacy, The CampaignDiary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days and Hope Springs.

There are also plenty of new movies to rent this weekend as well. Family Video has nearby locations in Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights and Glenview.

New titles available at Family Video this week include Bernie, Assassin’s Bullet, The Dictator and more.

I believe the aldermen are Denise Rodd south of Dempster and Dick Sayad north. Contact them.Read More Although I do not live in Rodd's ward (Im in the 8th) I am somehow on her mailing list and she keeps wanting to know what she can do for me. Here is something.

I suggest contacting the alderman to raise the profile of what these streets need.
