Rocky Horror Picture Show

Let’s do the time warp again!

Fans of The Rocky Horror Picture Show will instantly
recognize that sentence as being from of the campy musical’s big numbers.

The film is a twist on horror movies and features a sweet transvestite from Transylvania, a loving couple, and of course, monsters. Released in 1975, this movie is the definition of a cult classic. devotees are known to attend in costume, with bags of props including rice, water, and of course, toast.

On Saturday, November 3rd, the Optimist Club of
Des Plaines will be presenting this film at 8pm and midnight in the beautifully refurbished Des Plaines Theatre at 1476 Miner Street in Des Plaines. The theatre was saved from demolition by a dedicated theatre preservation society and thoughtful owner, and is used for both live events and movies.

Tickets to the event are $10 for either show (toast not
included) Proceeds will benefit the Optimist Club of Des Plaines. Tickets are available only by going to brownpapertickets.com

Chartered in 1954, the Optimist Club is an all volunteer
service organization. Through sponsorship of youth sports, and scouting, and by offering programs like essay and oratorical contests, Movies in the Park, an annual fishing derby and kite fly, and many other activities, Optimists bring out the best in kids.
