Maine West Dance Concert

For those who love dance, the Maine West High School Orchesis show of Thursday, March 8; Friday, March 9; and Saturday, March 10 will offer plenty of variety. Orchesis Sponsor and Maine West teacher Lisa Jacob said that audiences will enjoy “contemporary dance, hip hop, comedy, all-guy dances, sassy jazz, moving lyrical, tap, our award-winning state piece, and our incredible adagio, where the guys lift and throw the girls.  It is an exceptional show with something for the whole family.”

The show’s theme is “Access Orchesis,” and narrations will be based on the Access Hollywood theme.  Sixty-two dancers are participating.

Show times are 4 p.m. on March 8 and 7 p.m. on March 9 and 10 in Maine West’s auditorium.  Admission is $6, and tickets can be purchased at the door.  Maine West is located at 1755 South Wolf Road in Des Plaines.
