Head down to Metropolitan Square in downtown Des Plaines this Friday for a fun-filled (you know it's going to be fun) event to kick-off the holidays! Woo!
There will be tree decorating by local schools at 3:30 p.m., Santa arrives at 4 p.m., entertainment from Marching Band and Choraliers and Des Plaines Park District's School of Dance's very own Artistry in Motion begins at 5:30 p.m. and...there will be SNACKS!
Enjoy some yummy cocoa, coffee, roasted chestnuts and Kettle Kabin Kettle Korn. The event will end with Mayor Martin Moylan flipping the switch to illuminate the trees and Metropolitan Square.
