Twenty-two oil sketches on paper and canvas by Samantha Haring, a member of the Des Plaines Art Guild and a senior at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, are on view during the month of September at the Des Plaines Public Library. They were painted over the course of six-weeks that the artist spent studying this summer at the International School for Painting, Drawing and Sculpture in Montecastello Di Vibio, Italy. The paintings represent the changing light and temperature in the subjects.
