Grab & Go Kid's Planner: Make Tasty Homemade Ice Cream, See Madagascar Live!

We found a wizardry exhibit, an ice cream making class and a concert with local musical enthusiasts.

This week we found homemade ice cream and an 'infectiously' delightful concert, among other events.

Community Concert Band Concert
Where/When:
Prairie Lakes Theater, opens Sunday March 20, concert begins at 3 p.m.
Why Go: Come hear the band (comprised of local and area musicians) play everything from old classics to your favorites from the latest movies.
Pricing: Adults $5; Seniors and Students $3; Family (Two Adults or one or two children) $12; Kids under 6 are free.

Where/When: 7 p.m. Friday, March 18 at 3131 Techny Road, Northbrook
Why Go: Annie  Jr., is the student version of the popular Broadway award-winning musical. The play features and includes more than 40 students.  
Pricing: $5 adults; $2 students/seniors.

Pattern Wizardry Exhibit
Where/When: Kohl’s Children’s Museum; runs through May 9, Friday-Saturday 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday noon-5 p.m.
Why Go: Bring your children to this interactive exhibit sure to peak curiosity and teach them about the patterns we see everyday in our world.
Pricing: Members and Infants: Free; Adults and Children: $8.50

The Boogers Concert
Where/When: 4 p.m. Sunday, March 20 at Oak Park’s Wonder Works.
Why Go: With names like Crusty, Greenie and Sticky it leaves little to the imagination. This infectious trio is sure to delight the little ones with their performance at Oak Park’s Wonder Works. This band was just awarded the National Parenting Publications Gold Award for Children's audio and is finishing up a five-month concert series.

Madagascar Live!
Where/When: Rosemont Theater; runs March 18-20; showtimes vary.
Why Go: All the fun of the DreamWorks animated movie brought to life on the stage. Hear your favorite songs from the movie, as well as new ones performed by the cast.
