Holy Family Medical Center and AVON Join Forces to Add Something New to Women's Beauty Routines – A Yearly Mammogram

“Wednesdays are for Women” offers free AVON products to women who come in on any Wednesday in September for a mammogram.

Same and next day appointments, including weekends, early morning and evening

DES PLAINES, IL (Aug 24, 2011) - This September, women will be adding something new to their beauty routine- a mammogram. Holy Family Medical Center’s Women’s Imaging Center (WIC) and  AVON-Morton Grove, are joining forces to offer “Wednesdays are for Women” in September to bring women in for their screening mammograms.  On Wednesdays in September, free Avon products will be given to women who come in for a mammogram. Together the two organizations hope to make a local impact on breast health by encouraging women to have their annual mammogram.

“We are very excited about partnering with Avon to bring more women in for a screening mammogram,” said John Baird, CEO, Holy Family Medical Center. “Holy Family and Avon are both dedicated to making “Wednesdays for Women” in September a great experience.”

The Women’s Imaging Center provides advanced diagnostic services for breast and bone health in a convenient setting. A nurse navigator coordinates care for patients, dedicated on-site board-certified radiologists, prompt results and follow-up information for patients, and the latest technology-all digital mammography with CAD (Computer-Aided Detection), Ultrasound Guided and Stereotactic Core Breast Biopsies, and Bone Mineral Density tests.
